4 New Film Posters For Miyazaki’s “The Wind Rises”
All week long, Studio Ghibli Int’l has been releasing new film posters for Hayao Miyazaki’s 11th feature-length film The Wind Rises (Kaze Tachinu) through Twitter. The final poster went public today.
The Wind Rises centers around (and is based off real-life counterpart) Jiro Horikoshi, the chief engineer and creator of the Zero Fighter, which were fighter planes used by Japan in World War II. It honors writer and poet Tatsuo Hori, who authored a novel of the same name in the early 20th century.
The film is set to open across Japan on July 20.
